I'm So Proud!

This is my latest coexistence quilt, which provides a stunning display for a piece of Palestinian embroidery.  My daughter and her boyfriend have recently purchased a brown couch and this quilt is meant to be a design element for their couch -- and also a delicious way to cuddle up while watching TV during the winter months!  Notice that the elements are not exactly symmetrical, which is one of the special features of this quilt!

Matching Little Girl Quilts

This set of matching little girl quilts is for two sisters who share a room --  a six-year-old girl and her newborn sister. Don't you love the combination of purple and green!

The six-year-old's quilt is junior twin size (54 X 72") and the newborn's is for the crib.

What a wonderful gift!

Shhh!!! Don't tell!!!

My niece, who loves the color teal, is having a baby shower this weekend.  Her little girl is expected in late November.  This quilt, using teal, pink and brown, is in the scrappy style!

Quilting for Peace

In honor of the brave step that the Israeli government took in releasing so many prisoners and bringing Gilad Shalit home --

This quilt is an expression of my hopes for peace.  It was ordered by a friend in Chicago who asked for a coexistence quilt mainly using the color teal. The women in Laquiya offered to make something special but after searching in the market, they couldn't find the right color thread. So,the piece of embroidery that they offered me includes a bit of teal combined with yellow and orange. It turned out to be a pretty combination. This quilt is meant to be a design element on a couch -- the size of a lap quilt. The stacked bricks are made of a pretty floral print that brings out the teal.

Good luck on your new home!

My daughter Sari just moved into a new apartment in Jerusalem.  Her bedroom is filled with sunshine and her bed is covered with a beautiful quilt from her Mom!

Shanah Tovah!

Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year to all my quilting friends around the world!

I have been making small baby gifts -- all of which are for sale.  Here is a carriage quilt with 2 alternative matching diaper pads, using 4" square.

And here is a cute little pink carriage quilt in the scrappy style.  Small and cuddly and delicious!  All our baby quilts are 100% cotton.

Summer Camp t-shirts

It's not so easy to come up with creative birthday gifts, especially as our kids get older!  One of my daughters worked at Camp Ramah (in Palmer, Massachusetts) for many years and has collected an impressive and colorful collection of t-shirts from those years!  Her husband suggested a double bed quilt for their guestroom -- made from all the t-shirts -- which was a great idea! I got to work right away in order to have it ready for her birthday, which is Erev Sukkot!  Here it is!
