One customer is buying up our quilts!

 A work colleague of my daughter's comes from a large family and has a ton of nephews and nieces who are all in their 20's and 30's.  So, she has become my biggest customer!

She also likes the idea of giving a baby quilt with a matching tote bag for the new mother! Take a look --

 It's a hot summer and besides sitting at the pool, it's hard to do anything major.  So, we've been both making tote bags as gifts for friends and family.

Tote Bags in Bold Colors

This past week, in a flurry of activity, I made a bunch of tote bags.  Thank you to my friend Sharon Yudewitz for the gift of the funky fabrics.

Springtime is a time of gift giving and we are both preparing lots of gifts for our upcoming travels to see our kids in the States.

Hana is making placemats, microwave cozies, and tote bags.

 One of our very close friends just ordered 10 tote bags!  We got right to work!  Here is the first batch off the assembly line!

I've been away from my favorite Bernina sewing machine which does wonderful quilting!  Please don't get me wrong, I don't mean to insult my wonderful Viking sewing machine which has lots of bells and whistles!  I have been making great tote bags as gifts, using the different settings on the Viking, and I've been having lots of fun!

Beach Bags

Amy's sewing machine has been in the shop for repairs for more than 2 weeks and she is dying of quilting withdrawal!  In the meantime, using Hana's machine, we have begun making lots of beach bags as summer gifts!  Take a peek.

Totes

A quick tote bag for a friend!!  She asked for a tote bag and she got it the same day!  I used store-bought handles to make it a bit more elegant.  The bag is great for sunglasses, bottle of water (in this case, she likes iced tea), and an ipad.  Enjoy!

Overnight Bag

Our daughter is expecting a girl!  Doesn't every little girl, no matter how small, deserve her own overnight bag?  Take a look at this!

I made these 2 new totes for the aunts who helped hold little Roei at his brit milah -- Dahlia's Aunt Ellen and Josh's Aunt Cheryl.  I hope they like these bags!

Hana has been making bags as gifts for friends and family.

friends who were moving on to different jobs.
