My four-year-old grandson has recently moved into a big boy bed! This moment calls for a new quilt!
Using varied green and yellow fabrics, I made this pinwheel quilt. It measures 48" X 68". I hope he enjoys cuddling with it!
Thanks to Hana for all the artistic advice!

Baby Quilt
Both of us were not able to do quilting over the summer. So, now we are back in the saddle, and enjoying ourselves!
This baby quilt was made by Hana for a friend's new granddaughter. It uses pastel colors in a pinwheel design.

Happy New Year to All!
I sold about 4 baby quilts in the past month, so I wanted to quickly rebuild my stock. But no sooner did I begin this one and one of my daughters has already claimed it! She especially likes the funky flannel fabric on the back, which you can see peeking through as the edging all around! I, on the other hand, especially like all the dots! I cut and sewed pinwheel blocks and put them together in a different pattern.

Kaleidoscope
I was looking on the internet for a new design, something inspiring. I found this basic kaleidoscope, made from 2 contrasting fabrics (and a third for the sashing and backing). It requires the making of 48 basic pinwheel blocks.
Making the quilt wasn't so easy and if you look too closely at mine you can see that not all of my corners match up perfectly! But it certainly was fun trying out something new.
I cut 5 1/2" squares, and the final kaleidoscope "element" turned out to be 28 X 36".
Here is my quilt!! With a 3" sashing all around, the quilt measures 34 X 42".

Pinwheels
This cute baby quilt is made using a delicious butterfly fabric. It is part of a three-piece set -- carriage quilt, changing pad, and wall hanging (that could also be used as a doll quilt for a big sister). The quilt is 100% cotton.
This baby quilt features a cute teddy bear print.
