Pinwheel Quilts for Family and Friends

These two pinwheel quilts are quite special.

The one on the left was given to Batya and Amir for their new little baby girl.

The yellow and turquoise one on the right was given to Hana's nephew and wife, Guy and Daisy, for their new little boy.

  1. Hi, your quilts are so cute. Just wondering--where do you buy your fabric? I go to the States once or twice a year, and usually buy fabric there to bring back to Israel. Do you shop at the two local quilt shops? Have you seen the quilt fabrics at Bod Ratz in Talpiot?

  2. Hi susan, In Israel, we buy at Pissot at Tzomet Bilu and we've also been to the shop at Bustan HaGalil. I live only 2 blocks from Bod Ratz so I always run in there when I need something additional!!

There is also a shop downtown Jerualem on King George St. that has a lot of cottons. Close to Sport HaBirah, it's a small store with two old Parsi salesmen, and a large stack of cottons next to a staircase in the back. You can identify the store by the long counter on the left as you enter.

But the prices are so much better in the States and the choices are wonderful. My favorite store is JoAnn's and it's everywhere!
